Your Course Director

Bruce Chew
Dr. Bruce Chew is the Federal Research Leader for the Deloitte Center for Government Insights and Managing Director in the strategy practice of Deloitte Consulting LLP. He received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Michigan, an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a PhD in Business Economics from Harvard’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Upon completing his PhD, Bruce returned to the Business School where he taught as an Associate Professor in the Technology and Operations Management Area. Dr. Chew left Harvard to join the Monitor Group, a strategy firm where he focused on both commercial and government clients. His work has focused more on government clients since Monitor became part of Deloitte over a decade ago. Throughout his career in academia and in consulting, Bruce has focused on helping large organizations anticipate and respond to the challenges and opportunities created by disruptive change. This has meant leading research and advising leaders on making informed choice and taking timely action in the face of a new competitor, an unanticipated event or the emergence of a new technology.
